约翰·伯特伦·菲利普斯（John Bertram Phillips，），英格兰圣公会牧师，圣经翻译者、作家。他被世人所知的是他翻译的《》。
生平
菲利普斯出生于薩里郡巴恩斯（现属泰晤士河畔列治文區），他就读于剑桥大学伊曼纽尔学院，并获得荣誉学士学位。在经过培训后，他在1930年成为英格蘭教會的牧师。
菲利普斯在伦敦The Good Shepherd教堂传教。他发现到钦定版圣经难以被年轻人们理解。时逢二战期间伦敦大轰炸，在防空洞避难的菲利普斯开始将《新约》使用现代英语再次翻译，首先是《歌羅西書》。而菲利普斯所翻译的版本确实可以使年轻人们更好理解，这鼓励他继续翻译《新约》的其他部分。
战后菲利普斯的部分翻译作品开始出版，首先是1947年《Letters to Young Churches》，当时得到了作家C·S·路易斯的支持。
