澳洲林仙屬，又名假八角屬，是林仙科之下的一個屬，得名於澳大利亞南部的塔斯曼尼亞島。澳洲林仙屬都是常綠的開花木本植物，有40個品種，原生於澳大利亞、新畿內亞、蘇拉威西、婆羅洲及菲律賓等地。澳洲林仙屬是木兰分支的成員，跟南極花卉是近親，樹皮和樹葉均有香味，亦可用來提煉精油。澳洲林仙屬植物由於含有獨特的倍半萜烯醛，其葉和果實（特別是乾燥後的果實）均帶有胡椒味。在澳大利亞，愈來愈多人用來作調味，特別是胡椒的替代品，並以之製作芝士、雪糕等美味食品。
分類
本屬最早的描述出於羅伯特·布朗，原被分類為同屬林仙科的新热带界林仙屬（亦作冬木屬）。近年的研究，令植物學家產生共識，把科內的植物分成兩個不同的屬：原來在新热带界植物依舊歸入林仙屬，而在大洋洲及鄰近地帶發現的品種，則歸類為澳洲林仙屬。
品種
分布與習性
在澳大利亞，澳洲林仙屬植物只分佈於東部，南部從塔斯曼尼亞，一直北上至維多利亞省東部、整個新南威爾士省及昆士蘭省的東南部。而在昆士蘭東北部的山區，則只有最潮濕的山林及水源附近的乾木才有發現，但止於海拔1500公尺。
