劇情大綱
二十世紀三十年代，遊學歐洲多年的上海名媛蘇雯麗，從巴黎回到上海，第二天便受邀去馬敏蘭家午宴，而馬敏蘭的丈夫胡雲朗當天早上在家中浴室跌倒而亡。警局羅秋恆探長判斷，胡雲朗死於砒霜中毒，因此帶走女僕小桃子調查。雖然洗脫嫌疑，但小桃子還是被胡家解僱，蘇雯麗見其聰明伶俐，便收留了小桃子。小桃子爾後即成為她的女僕、閨蜜兼偵探助手。蘇雯麗在案情分析時表現出的機敏和見識，令羅探長深為歎服，於是，兩人結成黃金搭檔，聯手破解了一系列離奇案件，隨著各個案件的衍伸發展，兩人自尖峰相對逐漸轉換成相互愛慕關係。
