农业物理学是一个连结农业学和物理学的分支科学,其研究对象是农业生态系统。农业生态系统即是受人类活动影响的生物个体、群落生境和生物群落 ，而这些人类活动用物理科学方法研究并说明。农业物理学涉及材料研究，生产活动中所包含的过程和农产品的加工，运用这门科学所取得的成果可以解决农业中的一些主要问题。农业物理学还特别注重于环境状况和农业原料和粮食生产的质量。
