安格尔函数是英国数学家安格尔在1855年首先研究的积分函数

\mathbf{J}_\nu(z)=\frac{1}{\pi} \int_0^\pi \cos (\nu\theta-z\sin\theta) \,d\theta

微分方程
安格尔函数满足下列微分方程

:z^2y^{\prime\prime} + zy^\prime +(z^2-\nu^2)y = (z-\nu)\sin(\pi z)/\pi
