穆麟德

穆麟德（，原名音譯：保罗·格奥尔格·冯·默伦多夫，也譯作穆麟多夫、马伦笃夫，）是德國語言學家和外交家，為普魯士貴族，他提倡的满文转写方案至今廣為滿語研究的語言學家採用。他曾出使中國，並為李鴻章所託前往朝鮮，曾撰文建議為當年夾在清朝、日本和沙俄之間的朝鮮半島訂立為中立地區。曾为明成皇后顾问。1901年在中國寧波過世，享年54歲。

生平
是普魯士的大家族，他自1865年起就讀哈雷大學，主修法律和東方文學，穆麟德表現出對外國語言強大的能力，他甚至學會了希伯來語，但在當時他仍尚未涉獵東亞語言。

1869年，穆麟德到中國上海的大清皇家海關總稅務司工作並學習汉语，1874年，穆麟德改到德國領事館擔任翻譯，接著到天津擔任德國領事官。穆麟德在天津的期間結識了馬建忠，並藉由馬建忠引介認識了李鴻章，後來，穆麟德與德國在北京的負責人马克斯·冯·巴兰德相處不和，於是他決定辭職。

1882年，李鴻章保薦他擔任朝鮮政府的顧問，12月，他抵達漢城晉見高宗國王，穆麟德很快就學會了韓語，並足以和國王溝通。他很快就贏得了國王的信任，任命他參議統理衙門事務。

穆麟德支持朝鮮獨立，但這違反李鴻章的想法，穆麟德甚至建議朝鮮借助俄羅斯帝國的力量來抵抗中國和日本，因此在1885年被迫辭職，高宗後來在1888年設法讓他復職，但沒有成功。

1899年，穆麟德再度回到中國，在上海擔任海關人員，後來被調到寧波，1901年時因不明原因（中毒或是重病）在即將返國前於寧波過世。
