富瓦穆拉岛

富瓦穆拉岛（，）是马尔代夫的一个岛屿（环礁），隶属于尼亚维亚尼环礁行政区。该岛是马尔代夫第二南端的行政环礁，位于以南、塞努环礁以北。它也是继马累和阿杜之后人口第三多的岛屿。

岛上的居民说一种独特的迪维希语方言，当地称之为“Fuvahmulaki baha”。

富瓦穆拉（Fuvahmulah）在当地语言中意为“树之岛”，即富瓦（Fuvah或Fuva）。世界上其他一些地方，例如马来西亚的槟城和印度阿萨姆邦的古瓦哈蒂，也以这种果实命名。该岛最初的名字可能是穆拉（Mulah），但为了与古代马尔代夫的另一个岛屿（Boli Mulah）区分开来，最终被命名为富瓦穆拉（Fuvahmulah，意为“长着槟榔果树的穆拉”）。

海军部海图和一些地理学家将该岛命名为富阿穆拉库岛（Fua Mulaku）。在古老的法国地图上，该岛被称为普埃莫吕克岛（Poue Molluque）。

名称
“Fuvahmulah”这个名字来源于“fuvah”，意思是“槟榔果”。 ( *pūgavṛkṣa-).
