傅士卓（Joseph Fewsmith，），美国政治学家，曾任波士顿大学国际关系与政治学系教授、帕迪长远未来研究中心研究员。
生平
1949年，约瑟夫·费尔史密斯出生于美国俄亥俄州小镇。父亲是二战负伤老兵，母亲是家庭主妇。1967年，进入西北大学，期间多次参加了反战游行。大一时接受博雅教育，大二时学习戏剧。因为希望成为律师，大三时转至政治学，产生了对亚洲尤其是东亚和中国政治的兴趣，开始学习中文。毕业后并未进入法学院，而是进入芝加哥大学继续攻读政治学，师从邹谠，并有了中文名“傅士卓”；另一位老师是菲利普·施密特（Philippe Schmitter）。1974-1976年赴台学习中文，1978-1979年又来台搜集关于1920年代大革命时期国民党的资料。1973和1980年分别获得政治学硕士和博士学位。
毕业后曾在包括俄亥俄州立肯特大学在内的多所高校任教。1983-1987年和1989-1991年，傅士卓先后在美国对外信息处（Foreign Broadcast Information Service）担任分析师、高级分析师。此后在波士顿大学工作20余年。
傅士卓经常访问中国，并积极参与亚洲研究协会和美国政治学会的活动。

他的文章曾发表于《亚洲调查》、《社会与历史比较研究》、《中国研究》、《中国季刊》、《当代史》、《当代中国》、《共产主义问题》和《现代中国》等期刊。他是《中国领导力观察》（China Leadership Monitor）的七位定期撰稿人之一。
