感光乾版是底片问世前最主要的影像记录载体。这种以金属或玻璃为基底、涂覆感光膠體的硬质板材，曾是银版摄影法等早期摄影工艺的核心材料。其中玻璃乾版（其厚度较普通窗玻璃更薄）因成像清晰、性能稳定，于19世纪末得到广泛应用。尽管在20世纪逐渐被胶片取代，但乾版技术在特殊科研与医疗领域仍持续使用至20世纪末期。
