制备
三硫酰氟可由的热分解或氟硼酸钾（）和三氧化硫（）在70 °C反应制得。

性质
三硫酰氟在加热时可以分解为焦硫酰氟；它在一些反应中可以生成FSO3−。

它在氢氧化钾的溶液中缓慢水解：

它是无色液体，在空气中发烟。它难溶于浓硫酸。
