靜脈炎

使用靜脈注射导管的患者約 30% 可能会出现这种情况；但只有 4% 的狀況严重。危险因素包括使用导管的时间较长和透過导管注射抗生素。危險因子包括靜脈曲張、癌症、怀孕和行动不便 。若病因與出现血栓有關时，治疗应包括抬高腿部、服用非類固醇抗發炎藥，有时仍需服用抗凝剂。以上較常在老年人發生。若是静脉导管引起的情況，則發生在女性比男性多。
