哈里·查理斯·盧克

哈里·查理斯·盧克爵士（ ；），大英帝國行政官員，曾在巴巴多斯、塞浦路斯、外高加索、塞拉利昂、巴勒斯坦、馬耳他、英屬西太平洋領地及斐濟任職。

生平
1884年，盧克出生於倫敦。其父為美籍奧匈帝國猶太人，其母為波蘭天主教貴族。盧克在伊頓公學及牛津大學三一書院接受教育。

1920年，盧克首次到訪巴勒斯坦地區（以色列地），並在耶路撒冷區民政部門任職。

1924年，盧克赴塞拉利昂擔任輔政司，後於1928年7月19日被調回巴勒斯坦託管地（今以色列）署理高級專員一職。

在巴勒斯坦託管地任職期間，盧克立場偏向阿拉伯人，對猶太人則充滿敵意。他一直隱瞞自己的父系猶太血統，還囑咐親戚不要對外透露此事。

1929年，託管地阿拉伯人以西牆祈禱權事宜為由發起暴動，傳謠稱「猶太人將攻擊阿克薩清真寺」，並以棍棒刀具襲擊猶太人。有133名猶太人遭阿拉伯暴徒屠殺，另有數百名猶太人受傷。盧克對此等暴行姑息縱容，不加制止，反倒誣稱「猶太人襲擊阿拉伯人在先」，並下令查封希伯來語報章，激起民憤。

1930年6月，盧克任馬耳他布政司。七年任期中，他撰寫了一本有關馬耳他历史的書籍。

1969年，盧克於塞浦路斯離世，終年85歲。
