艾米·古特曼

艾米·古特曼（，），是一位美國學者以及外交官，曾任美國駐德國大使，曾於2004年至2022年擔任賓夕法尼亞大學校長，是賓夕法尼亞大學任期最長的校長。。古特曼在該大學工作18年後被參議院確認為大使，並於2022年2月8日辭去校長職務。

2018年《财富》雜誌將古特曼評為「世界50位最偉大領袖」之一是庫爾特·古特曼（Kurt Gutmann）和比阿特麗斯·古特曼（Beatrice Gutmann）唯一的孩子。在哈德遜河谷下游的一個小鎮紐約州門羅長大。

父親是德國福伊希特旺根一個猶太教正統派五個孩子中最年輕的一個。當阿道夫·希特勒上台時，古特曼住在德國紐倫堡附近。

職業生涯
普林斯頓大學
古特曼於1976年至2004年在普林斯頓大學任教。1990年成為普林斯頓大學第一位勞倫斯·S·洛克菲勒大學教授，並擔任大學人類價值中心的創始主任。2001年至2004年擔任普林斯頓大學教務長期間，負責監督普林斯頓大學將本科生規模擴大10%計劃，並聘請哈佛大學教授。

2014年12月8日，《賓夕法尼亞州日報》報道，密蘇裡州弗格森學生抗議對邁克爾·布朗命案表示擔憂，擾亂古特曼家中學生的節日聚會。為了表示對學生事業的支持，古特曼和他們一起躺在地上，象徵布朗的屍體在死後被留在弗格森的街道上四個半小時。賓州警察部隊成員公開回應了這項支持，警察工會負責人寫了一封公開信批評此舉，警察局長也寫了一封信為古特曼的行為辯護。

總統任期
美國駐德國大使
2021年7月2日，喬·拜登總統提名古特曼擔任美國駐德國大使。2021年12月14日，参议院外交委员会提名舉行聽證會。古特曼提名於年底到期。

第二天拜登總統再次提名古特曼。2022年1月12日向參議院報告了她的提名。2022年2月8日美國參議院以54票對42票確認了她的提名。古特曼於2022年2月17日遞交國書。

個人生活
古特曼的丈夫是哥倫比亞大學法學和國際事務教授邁克爾·多伊爾。有一個女兒，，是加利福尼亚大学洛杉矶分校化學教授，擔任該校有機化學領域的索爾·溫斯坦（Saul Winstein）教席。
