吉丁虫科

吉丁虫科（学名：）是昆虫纲鞘翅目的一科甲虫，因有些种类如宝石般色泽优美、富有金属质感而被称为宝石甲虫（）。该科是鞘翅目中最大的科之一，有约775属、15500种，还包括约100个化石种。

色彩绚丽夺目的大型吉丁虫尤为受到昆虫收藏家的青睐。在很多亚洲文化中，都有以吉丁虫鞘翅做首饰或装饰品的传统。如南朝梁吴均《和萧洗马子显古意》“莲花衔青雀，宝粟钿金虫”中的“金虫”就是一种吉丁虫。现藏于日本奈良县法隆寺的日本国宝便是以桃金吉丁虫（Chrysochroa fulgidissima）的鞘翅作为装饰的。
