1-Wire是Maxim子公司的專利技術，仅用單一信號線就可像I²C、SPI一樣，傳輸時鐘（clock）又傳輸數據（data），并且數據傳輸是雙向的。1-Wire使用較低的數據傳輸速率（16.3 kbit/s），通常是用來溝通小型设备，如數位溫度計。1-Wire有兩種速率：標準模式16kbps，驅動模式142kbps。
例如，智慧鈕扣（iButton）产品就是基於1-Wire設計。iButton可存儲個人資訊，如身份證號、病歷表等。
