三宅英雄 （，，）是美国日裔著名的语言学家，主要研究领域为历史语言学，特别是上古日语和西夏语。
生平
三宅英雄1971年生于夏威夷瓦胡岛上的艾亚，1989年毕业于檀香山的普纳荷学校。其后于加利福尼亚大学伯克利分校学习日语及日本文学，后在夏威夷大学马诺阿分校学习语言学。1999年发表了博士论文《The Phonology of Eighth-Century Japanese Revisited: Another Reconstruction Based upon Written Records》（8世纪日语语音再考：基于文献记录的另一种重构），并获得博士学位 。虽然他以研究上古日语语音最为人所知，也以研究已灭绝的西夏语而知名。
目前三宅英雄任大英博物馆的研究助理，主要从事骠语铭文解读相关的研究。此外他还同时担任伦敦大学亚非学院的研究员 。
