厄斯金·考德威爾（，），美國小說家和短篇小說作家，他在他的作品裡描寫了他家鄉美國南部的貧窮、種族歧視及社會問題，他的著作包括《》（1932年）和《》（1933年）都為他贏得了一致好評，但是他對優生學的擁護和倡導強迫喬治亞州進行絕育的主張使他在第二次世界大戰後變得不受歡迎。
考德威尔煙癮很重，他最終因肺气肿和肺癌并发症而去世。
