欧内斯特·内格尔

欧内斯特·内格尔（，）是一位美国科学哲学家，和卡尔·亨普尔、赖欣巴哈、鲁道夫·卡尔纳普一起，被认为是逻辑实证主义的代表人物之一，主要作品有《科学的结构：科学说明的逻辑问题》（The Structure Of Science）等。

生平
出生於奧匈帝國瓦赫河畔新城（現為斯洛伐克）。

1923年畢業於纽约市立学院。1931年獲哥倫比亞大學博士學位。

1977年當選美國國家科學院院士。哲學家入選美國國家科學院院士實屬罕見。

他有兩個兒子：亞歷山大·內格爾（數學家，威斯康辛大學教授）和西德尼·內格爾（物理學家，芝加哥大學教授）。
