2021年欧洲U-21足球锦标赛是第23屆欧洲U-21足球锦标赛（若包含U-23时期则为第26届），即欧洲足联为欧洲范围内21岁以下国家足球队组织的两年一度国际青年足球锦标赛。最初，决赛圈设12个参赛席位，但在2019年2月6日，欧足联执行委员会将席位扩充至16个。只有在1998年1月1日或之后出生的球员才有资格参赛。
这届赛事由匈牙利和斯洛文尼亚共同主办。它原定于2021年6月9日至26日举行。然而，由于2019冠状病毒大流行，其赛程也跟随2020年欧洲足球锦标赛推迟至2021年6－7月而重新调整。新的日程最初定于2020年5月27日开赛，但当欧足联执委会会议讨论了比赛日程和形式后，又被推迟至2020年6月17日。2020年6月17日，欧足联宣布锦标赛将分两个阶段进行；分组赛于2021年3月24日至31日举行，淘汰赛于2021年5月31日至6月6日举行。
西班牙为本届赛事的卫冕冠军，但于淘汰赛阶段遭葡萄牙所淘汰。

2018年12月3日，在爱尔兰都柏林举行的欧洲足联执行委员会会议上，最终确定了匈牙利和斯洛文尼亚为联合主办国。
参赛资格
全部55个欧洲足联成员国都参加了赛事，与上届不同的是，主办国之一的匈牙利和斯洛文尼亚自动获得了参赛资格，其他53支球队则参加预选赛，以决定最后的14个名额。预选赛分组阶段于2018年12月11日完成抽签。预选赛分组赛于2019年3月至2020年10月举行，而附加赛定于2020年11月举行。16支球队被分成四组、每组4队。在预选赛结束后，将根据以下计算规则来确定各队的系数排名暨种子队分档：
临时赛程表于2019年11月公布，上述8个场地将承办比赛。 匈牙利（A组和C组）和斯洛文尼亚（B组和D组）将各自举办两个小组的分组赛、两场四分之一决赛和一场半决赛，决赛则在卢布尔雅那的斯托日采體育場举行。
