内河重炮舰

内河重炮舰（），是一种在内河活动的最大类别的戰艦，安装最重可能的火炮。英文名称源自美國南北戰爭期間（北軍）旗下的（USS Monitor）。
美国
越戰時，由於內河作戰的需要，美國重新啟動自南北戰爭結束後就未曾再建置過的褐水海軍（Brown-water navy）船隊，導入至少24艘搭載迫擊砲或火焰噴射器的重砲艦參與在越南的戰事，也成為此類型的軍艦最近期的服役記錄。1966年7月，国防部长罗伯特·麦克纳马拉批准组建。一般有重装甲单炮塔的江河重炮舰。辖4个江河突击总队（River Assault Divisions, RAD）：
*第91江河突击总队：3艘内河重炮舰
*第92江河突击总队：2艘内河重炮舰
*第111江河突击总队：3艘内河重炮舰
*第112江河突击总队：2艘内河重炮舰

亚洲
阿穆尔河区舰队从1907年开始使用Taifun级内河重炮舰。1918年都被日本军队俘获。排水量1000吨，装备130 mm舰炮。二战苏联海军使用斯维尔德洛夫级。
欧洲
第一次世界大战时，奥匈帝国与罗马尼亚王国在多瑙河上都部署了内河重炮舰。
