兒童文學遺產獎 （前身為蘿拉·英格斯·懷德獎，2018年起變更為此名）是一項由美國兒童圖書館服務協會 (ALSC)所頒發的獎項，頒發給在美國兒童文學上長期耕耘、並為兒童文學帶來巨大且永久貢獻的作家或插畫家。之所以召開本次行動，是因為外界批評了懷德在書中對原住民與非裔美國人有不當描述。 重新命名的建議在2018年6月23日被提出。
ALSC委員會發現懷德的作品「含有刻板印象的描述，與ALSC的『包容、正直、尊重、熱忱』核心價值並不一致」。 ALSC認為懷德的描寫對少數族群，特別是美國原住民構成了種族歧視。
