奇特南戈琥珀螺（学名：）为一會呼吸空氣的小型，屬於琥珀螺科的成員，舊屬琥珀螺属，今屬新琥珀螺属，是美国紐約的特有物种，得名於美國紐約州麥迪遜縣的。這個物種發現於1905年，然後三年之後又被當作**'的亞種而報告。之後在往後的數十年，多份生物分类学研究回顧這次發現，直到1980年代後期，才能透過化學及形態學方面的數據而確定本物種是一個獨立的物種，而且屬於一個新的屬。
