阿伦·罗马克斯

阿伦·罗马克斯（Alan Lomax ；）是一名美國民族音樂學家，以其對美國和歐洲各國傳統音樂的調查和他發明的《歌唱测定体系》知名。他的父親約翰·羅馬克斯就是一名民族音樂學家，阿倫·羅馬克斯早期和父親一起進行田野調查。他記錄下的民間音樂收錄於美国民歌档案馆（隸屬國會圖書館）中，他本人也當過這個檔案館的館長。

1942年，因國會圖書館削減民歌搜集經費，羅馬克斯開始獨立進行調查，曾去過英國、愛爾蘭、加勒比海群島、意大利和西班牙等國家和地區。2004年3月，國會圖書館將羅馬克斯獨立調查得到的材料也納入其館藏。冷戰開始之後，他開始呼籲社會重視民俗，強調文化平等。
