• 諾貝爾生理學或醫學獎 (1965)
• 皇家学会外籍会士 (1973)。

賈克柏後來又與悉尼·布伦纳（2002年因線蟲研究而獲得諾貝爾獎）提出了核糖體進行轉譯時的作用方式假說，並由後來的實驗證實。1996年，賈克柏成為法蘭西學術院院士。2013年4月19日逝世。
