阿尔弗雷德·刘易斯·韦尔（，）是一名美国发明家和机械师。他是塞缪尔·摩尔斯在其发明电报时的助手。1837年9月2日摩尔斯公开证实了他的电报技术的可行性后，韦尔协助摩尔斯一起完善各种仪器，尤其是中继站的技术。
韦尔最著名的是他据说发明了摩尔斯电码，但实际上他可能并不是摩尔斯电码的发明者。因为韦尔在他1845年写的一篇小文中说这个电码是摩尔斯教授发明的。
韦尔死后他的女儿坚持韦尔是摩尔斯电码的发明者。
