达拉（）是东罗马帝国于美索不达米亚北部的重要城池，地处与萨珊王朝边境处。由于它具有重要的战略意义，故在6世纪的罗马－波斯战争中占有突出地位，著名的的达拉战役便发生在530年发生于此地。如今土耳其马尔丁省乌古斯位于其旧址上。
历史
建城
公元502至506年，在对萨珊波斯的军事行动中罗马军队惨败，根据记载，罗马将军将此归咎于在该地区缺乏坚固的基地，而波斯却占有尼西比斯。
因此，505年，当斯波国王卡瓦德一世将精力转向东方时，东罗马皇帝阿纳斯塔修斯一世决定在尼西比斯西侧18公里，距波斯边境仅有5公里的地方重建村庄达拉，使其成为了可以休整军队，秣兵历马，抵抗波斯人及撒拉森人的要塞。城墙进行了重修，内城加高了一倍，达。塔楼也加固加高，约达到高，此外还挖了一条护城河。
查士丁尼的工程师们还将挖掘了一条运河，将附近的改道，穿城而过，保证了充足的水源供应。与此同时，通过将河流引入北方外的地下通道，城内驻军可以切断围攻城池敌军的水源，这曾多次拯救了这座城市。为避免洪水威胁（洪水曾冲毁大部分城区），还，这是已知最早的拱坝之一。除此之外，还为驻军建造了军营，及两座新的教堂。
此后
达拉于573至574年波斯国王霍斯劳一世在位时期被攻克，但在590年霍斯劳二世根据东罗马与波斯的协定将其归还。604至605年，霍斯劳二世在围攻九个月后将其占领，但又为东罗马皇帝希拉克略收复。公元639年穆斯林将其征服，此地随后失去了其军事意义，逐渐没落并被遗弃。
现代
在亚美尼亚种族大屠杀中，达拉为屠戮地点之一。根据报道，1915年春季与夏季时，蓄水池中堆满了来自迪亚巴克尔、馬爾丁、埃尔祖鲁姆等地亚美尼亚人的尸体。
