盘菌亞門是子囊菌門的一亞門。属于大型子囊菌类，且包含了幾乎所有可以裸眼觀見成熟個體的子囊菌類，（例外： Neolecta 屬於外囊菌亞門）。此類真菌无性生殖时是經由細胞分裂而不是經由孢芽來生殖的。
盘菌亚门的真菌几乎都是腐生菌，其子囊通常为圆柱形，子囊果呈盘状，子囊排列在盘状子囊果中，子囊盘为中型至大型，无柄或近乎无柄，孢子一般为8个，在子囊中成一行排列。
