弗朗茨·梅斯梅尔

弗朗茨·弗里德里希·安东·梅斯梅尔（，），一译麦斯麦，德国心理学家、催眠术科学的奠基人。

梅斯梅尔对天文学十分感兴趣，后来提出在所有有生命和无生命的物体之间会发生一种自然能量转送的理论，这个理论被他称为，有些时候也被用他的名字命名为“mesmerism”。此学说大约在1780年至1850年期间引起了广泛关注。
