入江昭

入江昭（，，），是一名日本出身的美國國際政治學家，哈佛大學名譽教授。専攻是美國政治外交史，並且在1988擔任第一位日本出身者的美國歷史學會會長。並取得了美國籍。

生平
出生於東京都，畢業於後1953年取得獎學金前往美國留學，1957年畢業於哈弗福德學院，1961年再從哈佛大學取得歷史學博士。

1961年起擔任哈佛大学講師、加利福尼亞大學聖塔克魯茲分校助理教授，1968年成為羅徹斯特大學助理教授、1969年成為芝加哥大學歷史系助理教授、1971年同教授、1989年成為哈佛大學歷史系教授和系主任、期間也曾擔任早稻田大學、立命館大学、關西大學的客席教授。2005年獲得瑞寶章，也曾因為研究成果獲得以及。

1960年代起，與高坂正堯、等現實主義派學者共同活躍在『中央公論』雜誌的国際政治評論版上。外交史学者であるが『日本の外交』（1966年）などに見られるように、思想・文化の影響力を重視するアプローチが特色であり、一国の外交史研究を超えた多国間の視点とその相互作用を組み込む「国際史（International History）」研究の提唱や、文化交流の国際政治の研究の必要を長く提唱していることでも知られる。

父親是知名国際法学者、早稲田大学法学部客席教授，妻子是知名比較文学研究者、東京大学教養学部教授的長女。擔任芝加哥大學期間，曾經是中西寬的老師。

2026年1月27日在美國賓夕法尼亞州費城附近的養老院遺世。
