林节玄

林节玄（Tsit Yuen Lam，）是一位美籍数学家，研究领域集中于环论和二次型。

生平
林节玄于1963年在香港大学取得数学学士学位，1967年在哥伦比亚大学取得数学博士学位，导师为海曼·巴斯。他的博士论文标题为《关于格罗滕迪克群》。之后林节玄在芝加哥大学担任教员，并在1969年开始在加州大学伯克利分校担任助理教授一职。1972年他晋升为副教授，其次于1976年成为终身教授。此外林节玄还数次担任数学系助理负责人。1995年至1997年间林节玄担任加州大学伯克利分校MSRI副院长。

他执教过的博士生中包括理查德·埃尔曼。

荣誉
1972至1974年间林节玄是斯隆奖会员；1978至1979年成为米勒研究教授；1981至1982年成为古根海姆会员；1982年他被授予Leroy P. Steele奖项，以表彰他编撰的优秀教材。

2012年林节玄成为美国数学学会会员。
