迦南

迦南（，，腓尼基语：，，），天主教譯為客納罕，位於古代近東的黎凡特南方區域，興起於公元前2000年，使用閃米語的古文化區域。居住在這個區域的人，稱為迦南人。

原意为“低”，指地中海東岸的沿海低地，是一个古代地区名称，大致相当于今日以色列、西岸和加沙，加上临近的黎巴嫩和叙利亚的临海部分。

圣经
圣经记载含的幼子迦南因含的行为而遭到诺亚诅咒之事。圣经称迦南的长子名为西顿，其他的后代还有赫、耶布斯、亚摩利、革迦撒、希未、亚基、西尼、亚瓦底、洗玛利、哈马等，这实际上是古代以色列人对迦南地区各宗族和邦国的概述。

圣经描述迦南的境界是从西顿向基拉耳的路上，直到迦萨，又向所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁的路上，直到拉沙。
