爪獸屬（）是奇蹄目爪獸科底下的一屬，分布於漸新世晚期至上新世早期（28.6—3.6百萬年前）的歐洲、非洲與亞洲，共存活了 25 百萬年。和其他爪獸科的成員一樣，為外型奇特的草食動物，長達2公尺，具有修長帶爪的與粗短適合承受重量的。模式種為 Chalicotherium goldfussi，生存於中新世至上新世的歐洲，由於1833年發表。
外表
爪獸屬的外型像馬，頭骨細長，前肢比後肢長，背部向下傾斜。牙齒構造特殊，腳沒有蹄，三趾末端有強壯的爪。爪的發展有可能與進食習慣有關，用前爪把樹枝拉下來，或挖掘樹根和塊莖進食。
坐骨的硬皮意味著動物會長時間坐在他們的臀部上，方便餵養。指骨背側長出軟墊，可能是關節行走的證據，也可以是為了避免消耗爪子，以收集飼料或用作強大的防禦武器。
這些特徵都與地懶，大猩猩和大熊貓有所相似。
