軍備控制是指國際上限制武器開發、生產、儲備、擴散和使用的一個術語，其中特別使用在大規模殺傷性武器。軍備控制通常經過外交手段進行談判與同意後，藉由國際條約和協議而要求參加者必須遵守之。但也有可能是由一個國家或者國家集團透過自身權力，向未表示同意合作的國家強制執行限制之規定。
