亨利·勞森

亨利·勞森（Henry Lawson、），澳大利亞小說家和詩人，澳洲本土文化的創始人之一，生於勞動貧民家庭。父親是挪威人，1866年移居澳洲，最早是金礦工人，後來經營農耕。勞森只念過三年書，14歲就開始工作，當過油漆工、鋸木工、電報線路工。生活非常艱難。他很早就在報紙上發表詩歌、散文與小說，內容大多描寫了澳洲叢林生活、淘金者、農場經營、剪羊毛工人、城市貧民的革命風暴等，體現了澳洲本土文化特色和獨有的風格，呈现出一幅澳大利亚劳动人民的生活图景。亨利·勞森主要以短篇小說蜚聲文壇，出版過詩集《在海闊天空的日子裡》、短篇小說集《當罐裡的水沸騰的時候》。
