巴賽語文法為基於巴賽語之文法。巴賽語屬台灣南島語言，其語序大致上同西部南島語一樣為谓宾主结构（VOS）或谓主宾结构（VSO）。被歸為作格語言，也就是從同類型的兩個句子比較上來觀察、及物句（A句）的受詞和不及物句（B句）的主詞之格位標記相同，即A句受詞跟B句主詞作同樣的對待、使二者有「一致性」（agreement）的關係。 在句法上，台灣南島語言最重要的特徵是焦點系統，而巴賽語亦然。所謂焦點系統，即使語詞如動詞在結構上附與焦點特性之詞綴（前綴、中綴、後綴，及環綴/前後綴）或動貌詞（TMA/TAM），再配以格位標記置放於句中，而來突顯語句中動詞與主詞或其他名詞之間「一致性」的聯繫特徵、使語句對焦明白了然。再進一步使語詞在句中相對之關係落差拉大、而彰顯出其邏輯上的主語，或則所強調的謂語、賓語等語詞，亦使表達之目的聚焦突出清楚。
詞彙與構詞
巴賽語在構詞上屬於黏著語類型。一個單詞是由一個词根和多個詞綴，如前綴、中綴及後綴所組成，故而為多音節（multi-syllables）詞構。 底下列出巴賽語、噶瑪蘭語之單字詞與中文對比。

格位標記與代名詞系統
格位標記系統
如同其他的台灣及菲律賓等之南島語一樣，巴賽語存在著「格位標記」的架構。巴賽語格位標記列表如下：

焦點系統主要分主事（agent）與非主事（non-agent）二大類焦點系統。主事焦點以動詞前綴 m-, mə（me）-, ma-、或則「前綴空缺字母」用符號 ф- 表示之，動詞中綴則以 -mi-, -um- 表示之。總結焦點系統有：①「主事焦點」，②「受事焦點」（處所焦點）二種。巴賽語目前還沒發現「指事焦點」〔工具焦點/受惠焦點〕的用法。
時貌系統
巴賽語有如下動貌詞結構、亦稱情貌詞，為助詞之一種。
:註釋：/subat（遲晚）/指"虔誠邀請"（sincerely asking），一般置放於詞句開頭比如:。/baki（日居'留什）/指祖父，而/bai（眉）/指祖母。/lang/指酒，這裡轉化為動詞/喝酒/。/sumay/指"飯"，而/tabun/指"菜"、二者均轉化為動詞。/tasaw（打梢）/指"年"，疊詞/tasaw-tasaw（打梢'打梢）/指"年年"（every year）（均同噶瑪蘭語用法）。/salaw/指"打獵（捕鹿）"，加上/-m-/表AF（主事）動詞/s-m-alaw（斯麻老）/、同"噶瑪蘭語"用法。/ma-caci（麻查吱）/指"快速"，/ma-sala（麻薩拉）/指"擒獲"。/zi-nay mi-nay/指"你來/爾來"。/puzia-salu（樸迦'薩魯）/指"好收成"。/say-mu（塞莫）/"庇佑"為動詞。/zuma（朱馬）/指"東"，/zie（嚼）/指"西"、均為方位詞。/zi（喈）/指"自…"為方位助詞。
