2014年冬季奧林匹克運動會冰球比賽男子賽事 于2月12日至23日俄羅斯索契舉行。這是自1998年長野冬奧以來第五次國家冰球聯盟同意球員參賽。
參賽國家
加拿大、捷克、芬蘭、挪威、俄羅斯、斯洛伐克、瑞典、瑞士和美國等國家是因為為2012年IIHF世界排名前九名而取得資格。奧地利、拉脫維亞和斯洛維尼亞透過資格賽取得參賽資格。
預賽
排名準則
在每組中，球隊按照以下標準排名:
#積分（規則時間獲勝3分，加時或射門獲勝2分，加時或射門落敗獲得1分，規定時間落敗不得分）;
#兩隊同分，則兩者對賽成績決定排名;
#如果有三或四隊同分，則應用以下標準（如果在應用標準之後，只有兩支球隊保持聯繫，他們對賽的結果將決定他們的排名):
##在有關隊伍之間進行的比賽;
##在有關球隊之間比賽中的得分差;
##有關隊伍之間的正面比賽進球數;
##如果還有三支球隊仍然相同，那麼每支隊伍剩下的隊伍進行比賽比較（積分，淨得分，得分）;
##2012年國際冰總世界排名
