要員保護

要員保護（）或稱重要人物保護（）是保鑣的其中一種專業範疇，是針對要員提供近身保護，包括事前進行風險評估，確保要員的安全不受威脅，並且為到要員的個人尊嚴及人身、居所以及行程途中提供一切預防性的保護。要員保護通常由接受過相關專業訓練的人員所提供，政府部門通常是由軍隊、警察以至其他執法機關負擔，民間則通常由私人公司提供服務。

要員種類
要員種類廣泛，通常包括因為其身份（例如社會地位及所屬政黨等）、職業、財富及名譽以至其個人可能承受潛在威脅的人士，當中包括：國家元首、官員、政治人物、使節、富豪和明星等等。
