朱利安·赫胥黎

朱利安·索雷尔·赫胥黎爵士，FRS（Sir Julian Sorell Huxley，），英國生物學家、作家、人道主義者。 他曾擔任伦敦动物学会書記（1935年至1942年），第一屆聯合國教育科學文化組織總幹事（1946年至1948年），亦是世界自然基金會創始成員之一。作為生物學家，他提倡自然選擇，亦是現代綜合理論中在20世紀中葉的一位重要人物。

朱利安·赫胥黎來自著名的赫胥黎家族，他的同母兄弟是作家奥尔德斯·赫胥黎，他的異母兄弟諾貝爾生理学或医学奖得主安德魯·赫胥黎同是生物學家；他的父親里奥納德·赫胥黎是作家和編輯，祖父是托馬斯·亨利·赫胥黎；查爾斯·達爾文是他的朋友和支持者。朱利安·赫胥黎的外祖父是湯姆·阿諾德，大舅是詩人馬修·阿諾德，曾外祖父是托馬斯·阿諾德。
