愛麗絲·華克

愛麗絲·華克（，），美國作家和社会活动家，曾獲普立茲小說獎、美國國家圖書獎，代表作為《紫色姐妹花》，史蒂芬·史匹柏曾將其改編為同名電影。

早期生活
愛麗絲·華克出生於喬治亞州的一個小鎮，有兄弟姊妹八人，她最小。母親為幫傭，從小便必須打理家務。八歲時因哥哥不慎導致右眼失明。曾任教於加州大學，致力介紹非洲作家，並長期關注民權、婦女運動。

个人生活
1965年，沃克与犹太民权律师Melvyn Rosenman Leventhal相遇。他们1967年3月17日在纽约市结婚。那年晚些时候夫妇搬迁到密西西比州杰克逊，成为“密西西比第一对合法结婚的跨种族夫妇”。他们受到白人的骚扰和威胁，包括三K党。他们夫妇1969年生了一个女儿。沃克和她的丈夫于1976年离婚。

90年代中期，沃克与女创作歌手特蕾西·查普曼开始了一段恋情。
