甲基汞

甲基汞是化學式为 (CH3)Hg+的有机金属阳离子。甲基汞有剧毒，其衍生物是是人类有机汞化合物的主要来源。它对环境有生物累积毒害。

無機汞離子在微生物的作用下，會轉化為甲基汞，因此它很容易在河流和湖泊中發現，被湖中的魚蝦吞食後會累積毒素，經過食物鏈轉化後，逐漸累積在人體大腦中。1950年代日本所爆發的水俁病即是甲基汞中毒。
