鲸鱼座94A是一颗黄-白矮星，质量大约为太阳的1.3倍，而鲸鱼座94B是一颗红矮星。根据新的第六版目视双星星表中的轨道，A星和B星平均相距151天文单位。

2000年8月7日，天文学家发现了围绕它公转的太阳系外行星鲸鱼座94b。
