暗眼灯草鹀（学名：'）是一种小型灰色美国麻雀。这种鸟生活范围为北美洲大部分温带地区，夏季可达北极。这是一个非常易变的物种，很像福克斯麻雀（'），其系统分类还没有完全确定。
描述
外表
成鸟通常有灰色的头、脖子和胸部，灰色或褐色的背部和翅膀，腹部白色，不同的变种羽毛的颜色有区别。白色外尾羽在飞行时和地面跳跃时闪烁。啄通常为浅粉红色。
雄鸟通常比雌鸟颜色更深一些。它们的长度通常为13-17厘米。幼鸟通常有浅色条纹，甚至可能会被误认为是栗肩雀鹀（学名：**'），直到它们2至3个月后长为成鸟。不过幼鸟头部的颜色已经和成鸟很相似，最初啄有淡黄色边缘，并有肉垂方便父母喂养。
叫聲
暗眼灯草鹀鸣叫时为颤音，与褐斑翅雀鹀（学名：**'）相似，只是暗眼灯草鹀的歌声更复杂。
