阿特金森循环()是一种由英國工程師()於1882年发明的内燃机形式。
阿特金森循环发动机提高了效率,但降低了功率密度,其缺點是在低轉速時效率低、扭力較差。阿特金森循環最初用在某些混合動力車輛上,近期某些搭配可變汽門正時車輛可切換奧圖循環及阿特金森循環以追求更高的燃油效率。
理想的阿特金森循环包括以下幾部份:
- 1-2 等熵或是可逆绝热壓縮
- 2-3 等容加熱(Qp)
- 3-4 等压加熱(Qp')
- 4-5 等熵膨脹
- 5-6 等容冷卻(Qo)
- 6-1 等压冷卻(Qo')
