約翰·斯圖爾特·貝爾（，），英國北愛爾蘭物理學家。最重要的貢獻為發展了量子力學中的貝爾定理。
生平
早年
約翰·貝爾出生於北愛爾蘭的貝爾法斯特。
11歲時他立志成為一名科學家，16歲時便從貝爾法斯特技術學校畢業。
之後貝爾進入貝爾法斯特女王大學就讀，1948年取得了實驗物理的學士學位，隔年再取得了數學物理學位。
接著他到了伯明翰大學研究核物理與量子場論，並在1956年獲得博士學位。
這段期間裡，他認識了在從事粒子加速器研究的物理學家瑪莉·羅斯，兩人在1954年結婚。
辭世
約翰·貝爾於1990年因一場突發的腦溢血，於日內瓦過世。貝爾並不知道當年已被提名角逐諾貝爾獎，而諾貝爾獎慣例只頒發予生者。儘管如此，其對EPR佯謬的貢獻仍顯重要，一些學者認為他指出局域實在性（Local realism）的失敗，亦即局域隱變量理論（Local hidden variables）的不可行。
