羅馬匕首

羅馬匕首（，），古代羅馬軍團佩備的隨身匕首。它似乎是一種輔助兵器，但是它的確切用途，到目前為止，學界還沒有定論。

這種匕首經常被用來當成自殺或暗殺用的武器，例如，刺殺凱撒的刺客就是使用這種匕首。

字源
雖然無法完全確定，但Pugio極有可能是起源自原始印歐語的字根*peuĝ-，意思是刺、或插入。
