阿貝爾1689是位於室女座的一個星系團，它是已知最大的星系團之一，並且有著重力透鏡的效應，扭曲了在它背後星系的影像。它與地球的距離大約是22億光年 (6億7千萬秒差距)。

2008年2月，天文學家宣布被透鏡扭曲的星系A1689-zD1是距離地球最遙遠的星系。

A1689B11是一個極為古老的螺旋星系，是距離地球最遙遠的螺旋星系。
