林潮

林潮 （、），男，美国华裔天文学家。

生平
林潮出生于美国纽约，在中国北京长大，曾经就读于加拿大的麦吉尔大学（McGill University），并在英国剑桥大学获得博士学位。在剑桥大学和哈佛大学做过博士后，并在加州大學聖塔克魯茲分校执教。

学术成就
*1980年，与英国理论物理学家约翰-帕帕洛易佐提出盘缝形成假说。
*1996年，与美国天文学家彼得-博登海默和德里克-理查德森提出行星轨道迁移假说。
