格萊葛利·馬奎爾

格萊葛利·馬奎爾（，）是一位美國小說家。他因創作創作了數十本兒童小說和成人小說而聞名。

1978年，馬奎爾以《閃電時光》（The Lightning Time）出道，其中其中在1995年出版的《女巫前傳》是他為成人讀者創作的第一部小說，靈感來自兒童文學經典《綠野仙蹤》，該書後於2003年改編為同名百老匯音樂劇。

生平
在美國紐約州首府奧爾巴尼出生，畢業於奧爾巴尼紐約州立大學，後在塔夫斯大學（Tufts University）獲得博士學位，專攻英美文學。1979年至1985年期間，為西蒙斯學院兒童文學研究中心（Simmons College Center for the Study of Children's Literature）的教授及主管之一。1987年，與他人共同創立了新英倫兒童文學基金會（Children's Literature New England），現時亦是國家兒童圖書及讀寫素養聯盟（National Children's Book and Literacy Alliance）的董事之一。

馬奎爾的同性伴侶是畫家安迪·紐曼（Andy Newman），是馬薩諸塞州首批進行同性婚姻登記的夫婦之一，亦收養了三名兒童。
