图瓦卢语是图瓦卢使用的一种波利尼西亚语言。它与萨摩亚语、毛利语、夏威夷语、塔希提语是远亲，而与密克罗尼西亚与美拉尼西亚中部和北部的波利尼西亚语相近。图瓦卢语从19世纪晚期和20世纪早期基督教传教士的语言——萨摩亚语借入了大量词汇。图瓦卢语总共约有13000名使用者。图瓦卢语有5个元音（i, e, a, o, u），10或11个辅音（p, t, k, m, n, g, f, v, s, h, l），由不同方言决定。该语言有4个冠词，分南北两大方言群。
語音系統
元音
图瓦卢语包含五个元音（）。所有元音都有长短对立。
图瓦卢语没有双元音，所以每个元音都要分开发音。例如，“taeao”（明天）按4个音节发音(ta-e-a-o).
辅音
仅在努库莱莱方言的有限情况使用。
图瓦卢语音系包含10或11个辅音（），依方言而定。音素拼写为。其余音素使用与IPA符号相同的字母拼写。
