這個海洋生物分佈於非洲東南部的红海海岸、马斯克林群岛及整個印度洋-太平洋海域，包括中国大陆、臺灣、香港。

棲息地
常栖息在沿海岩砾或岩礁的潮间带及或潮池，以岩礁上的海藻生物为食
